Hello! I squeezed in one more card for the Coffee Lover’s Blog Hop. My card is similar to one I made for the Summer blog hop.
My card base is Kraft cardstock, my background is one of the beautiful papers from Prima’s (Frank Garcia) Amber Moon, inked with Vintage Photo DI around the edges. I used Core-dinations kraft core paper for the die cut – this is another one of the Simply Refined Flip Side Collection (Mosaic Briar) dies from Scrapbooking Made Simple. Love these dies – I was lucky to get a set as they quickly sold out. Here’s how it looks before adding everything (the color looks different under brighter lights):
I used my Tim Holtz Fresh Brewed die to cut out my cup of “Pumpkin Spice Latte”. The lid is just cut from white scrap paper, the cup cut from the back side of my patterned paper. The liner was cut from a Starbucks liner, and I used one of the stamps from the TH Pumpkinhead stamp set to add to the liner. Everything was inked with Vintage Photo DI, and the pumpkin was colored with Carved Pumpkin and Rusty Hinge DI.
Around the edges of the card, I used Gabi’s Line Stitch stamp set (49 & Market), embossing it in gold so it looks more like a decorative border instead of stitches.
My flower was made from a carton of petals from my friend, Autumn (thank you, sweetie!!) and inked a bit with Vintage Photo and some splattering of white/sandstone acrylic paints. The stamens came from Joann’s or Michaels, and were covered in gold glitter…sorry the flower looks a bit blurry.
I colored my seam binding with a little bit of Antique Linen DI just so it wasn’t too white. My tag was left over from the last coffee blog hop and since I needed to get started on another project, saving time seemed like a good idea. I won a prize at the last blog hop from The Ton (thank you, Effie!) and chose coffee-colored sequins so I added one to the tag. I wanted to add more but couldn’t get a good balance.
That should cover everything. Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!
